About PTSD

When the Battle Follows You Home

PTSD is not weakness. It is the result of carrying more than the mind and body were meant to hold alone. Warrior Path Project provides a path toward healing, clarity, and renewed control.

What PTSD Is

Understanding PTSD

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can develop after experiencing or witnessing traumatic events. For many veterans and first responders, those experiences are repeated, intense, and deeply personal.

PTSD is not just memories. It can show up as anxiety, anger, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, sleep disruption, and a constant sense of being on edge.

It affects how you think, how you feel, and how you live.

How it Feels

More Than Symptoms

For many, PTSD feels like being stuck.

Stuck in the past. Stuck in patterns. Stuck in a version of yourself you don’t recognize anymore.

You may feel disconnected from family, from purpose, even from yourself. What once felt normal can feel distant. What once felt meaningful can feel empty.

And often, it’s hard to explain to anyone who hasn’t lived it.

Why Traditional Paths May Fall Short

When Help Isn’t Enough

Traditional approaches like therapy and medication help many people. But not everyone finds lasting relief.

Some feel like they are managing symptoms instead of truly healing. Others feel numb, disconnected, or dependent on coping strategies that don’t address the root.

That’s where many begin searching for something deeper.

What Makes Warrior Path Project Different

Support Before, During, and After

Healing is not a single moment. It is a process.

WPP focuses on the full journey:

• Preparation and education before retreat

• Guided, culturally respectful ceremony experiences

• Structured integration support after returning home

Because insight without integration fades. Real change comes from applying what is discovered.

What Healing Can Look Like

What Becomes Possible

Every journey is different. But many who walk this path begin to experience:

A sense of peace where there was tension

Clarity where there was confusion

Connection where there was isolation

This is not about erasing the past. It is about changing your relationship with it.

A Responsible Approach

A Thoughtful and Responsible Path

Warrior Path Project approaches this work with care and responsibility.

Ayahuasca retreats are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and are not a replacement for medical or psychological treatment. Participation is voluntary and includes screening to ensure safety and readiness.

We encourage all individuals to consult with qualified healthcare professionals when considering any form of treatment.

You Don’t Have to Carry It Alone

If you are living with the weight of PTSD, there's is another path forward.

It starts with a decision. A step. A willingness to face what’s been buried and move toward something better.
